  • With a few "clicks", using our simple service form, you tell us about your project, or send us your document. It can be at any stage: semi-finished, draft, or even outline (point form).
  • You can avoid trading more emails with us if you immediately tell us as much as you can about the document, your situation, and your reader. You should also tell us how urgent it is.

  1. Ideally, prepare your document. It can be at a rough stage (even point form) or highly polished. However, it must be a word processor document, not a hand-scrawled fax. (We do not provide a "word processing" service.)
    • You might want to replace extremely sensitive data with anonymous data. For example, a bid price or a person's name might be replaced with "$xxx,xxx.xx", and "Mr. B". However, we are very careful about privacy and confidentiality, so this step is not a requirement.
    • Save your file as you normally would. No special file name is required.
  2. Complete the form on our service page. For best results, answer all the questions.
    • Several questions give us information about your project. Be as thorough as possible, if you expect us to respond with a firm price quote. Otherwise, we will have to e-mail you for more information, and at best give you a price range.
    • We also need some information about you: basic stuff, but critical if we need to reach you, or if you decide to go ahead after you get our price quote. (We produce a proper invoice for you, which must have your name and address on it, for example.)
    • You will be asked to attach (send) the document file that you have prepared (if you have one). It's easy; there is a "browse" button, so you can do it with a few "clicks".
  3. Check your email in about 30 minutes. We will have sent you an email, describing the work we will do, the amount of time it will take, and the fee to you. (See our pricing page.) This is a quotation. That email will ask you to confirm the quotation if you want us to proceed with the work.
  4. You can contact us for further information. Or you can have us proceed with the work by following the simple instructions that we send to you with the quotation. You can see how this will work by going to the payment form on our website.
    • On the payment form, using a Visa, MasterCard, or American Express charge card, you will pre-authorize the fee. The actual debit from your charge account will not take place until we have sent you the finished document(s). The pre-authorization ensures that your account is valid, and that sufficient funds are set aside for future payment.
    • Like other well-know commerce sites on the World Wide Web, we use a secure payment method (Secure Socket Layer or SSL, 32 bit encryption). The Visa and MasterCard transactions are processed through merchant card services of the Royal Bank of Canada, and the Bank of Montreal. American Express is processed directly by American Express, Canada.
    • A receipt for your pre-authorized amount will be displayed (and you can print it) as soon as your card is processed for the pre-authorization. (This should take less than two minutes.)
  5. Then comes the "fruit" of our combined work! You can expect an email from us within the time period stated in our quotation. The email will contain the finished document and an invoice if you have requested one.
  6. We will have the pre-authorized amount debited from your Visa, MasterCard, or American Express account.
